Why bird control?
Lets face it, we can all appreciate the beauty and grace of a flock of birds, but with them comes a variety of safety concerns caused by their droppings or nesting, as well as the diseases that can be trasmitted by birds. The acidity in bird droppings themselves could even weaken the integrity of certain structures over time. Our Bird Division develops systems that deter birds from landing and nesting in sensitive areas such as hospitals, food processing plants, shopping malls, or even at home. Because of the danger that bird droppings pose to the structures themselves, we seek to re-locate the birds instead of harming them.

Health Hazards
Birds, bird droppings, and nesting materials can carry over 60 different fungal, bacterial, and viral diseases that can be passed to humans and animals. Birds and bird nests can also host parasites and mites. Birds are carriers of the West Nile virus, and Bird Flu. Contraction of these diseases can happen through inhalation of airborne spores (through dried bird feces), or through direct contact. It should be noted that those who have compromised immune systems, or live with auto immune disorders are at the greatest risk of contracting disease from bird droppings. Constant exposure to bird feces or nests also puts one at greater risk.

Property Damage
Bird droppings are highly acidic and can corrode building materials such as wood, steel, brick, shingles and concrete, and can even corrode paint. It’s important to take a proactive approach when dealing with pest birds on your home or business.

Netting

Installations of stranded structural bird net to any facility can eliminate roosting, harboring, and perching. Installation of either 3/4", 1 1/8", or 2" nets as the recommended solution dictates. Netting for porticos, pediments, dock overhangs, light wells, columns, rooftop HVAC equipment, storage areas, and more. The netting is available in your choose of light or dark colors.

Spike Strips

This control program is based on the exclusion of the bird through the use of a plastic or stanliess piked device, installed and designed to occupy the current perching and roosting location. These spikes DO NOT hurt the birds, they simply keep birds from landing there. The sizes vary based upon the size of the bird.
